Products & Services

Basler offers a large selection of industrial and network cameras and accessories used for embedded vision applications in factory automation, traffic systems, and retail, as well as medical and life sciences.

Their dart board level camera series is especially suitable for embedded vision projects. Basler dart cameras are available with a USB interface or BCON, Basler’s unique newly-developed LVDS-based interface. With the leanest possible integration for next-generation image processing, as well as for most optimized front-end and vision architecture, BCON is ideal for cost-driven embedded systems.

dart BCON Portfolio from Basler AG

To facilitate camera evaluation for embedded vision projects, Basler offers a plug and play evaluation kit for their dart camera series. The Basler PowerPack dart USB for Evaluation is suitable to get familiar with software connection and camera properties and to evaluate the camera’s optical performance, which is also useful if you are planning an embedded vision solution with a dart BCON camera. The PowerPack includes a dart camera with a USB 3.0 interface, a suitable lens, a USB 3.0 cable, and pylon – Basler's industry-proven camera software suite. pylon offers stable, reliable, and flexible data exchange between Basler cameras and computer systems: for Linux on ARM-based systems, but also on Windows, Linux and OS X on x86 – at a very low processor load. When creating user-specific applications, the API for BCON for LVDS is identical to other interfaces, such as USB3 vision. This fact makes migrations from one camera model to another much easier.
