The Pinnacle Ultra HDR system takes the physical limitation of dB from a standard WDR CMOS image sensor, applies advanced algorithms to the image sensor output and extends the dynamic range (dB) of the sensor and camera system to a theoretic upper limit of 250 dB, which is 3.6x beyond the limit of most existing WDR or HDR CMOS image sensors.
