i just joined this community. I want to design a circuit that can take 3-5V input Dc from battery and drive a 3V/1Watt LED. The circuit must have a shaft potentiometer that can controle the LED brightness between minimum and maximum.....

you are looking for a "Buck LED Driver" with analog dimming support.

Input voltage schould be 6-36V for this driver to work properly.
