Which camera to choose?
I want to play around with video surveillance based on Raspberry Pi. I'm stuck on which camera to buy for the Raspberry. I am considering buying an AIY Vision Kit from Google so I can run computer vision applications right on my device. Isn't that overkill? All calculations can be performed in the cloud and the results obtained over the Internet. If I only buy the camera separately, maybe I should use the original Raspberry Pi camera for easier installation, or a cheaper third-party camera?
