Privacy while training a face recognition model
I am interested in a way how I can use photos of real people scrapped from several social networks for training my face recognition model. Is it OK in terms of GDPR?

I think it is definitely not OK. People should give their consent to any processing of their photos. Try to use available faces datasets instead of scraping social networks.
Is it OK to scrape photos from social networks and then transform them using computer vision technologies to obtain photos of not real people?
It is rather a legal issue than technological. In my opinion, it is the same, because you use photos of people without their consent. Probably if you do it in educational purposes nobody will know about this. But if you want to make a research or build a commercial product, you will have to specify the source of the training dataset. And there could be some legislative issues.
So it is better to take several ready datasets from the internet and augment them using GANs and data augmentation techniques?
Yes, I think so.
Thanks!
