I think it is your choice. You need to look at the particular device's features and decide it suitable for you or not. Every use case is unique.

Most devices can be controlled by Alexa, Google Voice Assistant, etc. So, I don't see a problem with using devices from different companies. Just select the device that you like more for each need you have. You can buy smart hoover from Xiaomi and smart refrigerator from Samsung, and the fact that they are from different producers shouldn't make them less smart.
